Our Aircraft

We currently have a fleet of 7 Aircraft, comprising of 2 Aero AT3s (2 Seater), 3 Piper PA-28s (4 Seater) , 1 CAP 10C (Aerobatic), and a DH82A Tiger Moth (Vintage).

Aero AT-3 - 2 Seater

The AT-3 is a modern, lightweight training aircraft, highly praised for its excellent handling characteristics and low fuel consumption. All our AT-3s are less than 6 years old, ensuring that the aircraft you fly in is of the highest possible quality.

A major trend in the aviation industry over the past few years has been the movement towards lighter and consequently more fuel efficient aircraft. Aside from the obvious environmental benefits, there is a significant cost saving to be made as well. The AT3’s therefore have become a much more significant part of our fleet, and offer seriously competitive flying training in comparison to the traditional cost of learning in a Piper or Cessna Aircraft

Piper PA-28 - 4 Seater

The Piper PA-28 is a larger 4 seater aircraft, used extensively at flying schools throughout the world. The aircraft uses a well proven design, and remains one of the most popular training aircraft types.

Typically PPL students have learnt to fly on Piper Warriors which have a well deserved reputation for being very good, stable teaching aircraft. Our two PA-28 Warriors, G-EDGI and G-ERFS are ideal training aircraft, and extremely popular with our students.

Our third PA-28, G-WISE, is an Archer III, and comes equipped with a glass cockpit. Undoubtedly this technology will become more and more prevalent firstly as flying school fleets become updated, and secondly because when understood the technology hugely reduces a pilots work load which can only make flying more enjoyable. For those looking to transition to the commercial flying industry, then experience of glass cockpit can only be an asset since similar systems are standard on all modern passenger jets

CAP-10C - Aerobatics 2 seater

The CAP 10C is a high performance tail wheel aircraft capable of performing aerobatics. We offer tail wheel conversion training and aerobatic training on this aircraft.

De Havilland DH82A Tiger Moth - Vintage 2 seater

The De Havilland Tiger Moth is perhaps the most famous basic trainer of all time. In these aeroplanes countless thousands of British and Commonwealth pilots learned the art and science of flying before graduating to the front line to fly the Spitfires, Mosquitoes and Lancasters of the time. At the end of the Second World War most of the RAF’s surviving Tiger Moths returned to civilian duties and served on for many years in innumerable flying clubs across the world. At the present day there are more than a hundred still flying in the UK.
