Welcome to Old Sarum Flying School's Trial Lesson shop. We offer a wide range of lessons, to suit all budgets and tastes. Our standard trial lessons give the perfect insight into the fascinating world of aviation, whilst our aerobatic lessons are perfect for those looking for the ultimate in thrills.

A standard trial lesson allows any potential pilot to get a feel for general aviation. The lucky recipient will be taught all about the basics of flight and demonstrated how the basic controls work. Then they will have the opportunity to fly the aircraft for themselves, all under the watchful eyes of one of our highly experienced instructors. These lessons are perfect for anyone who has ever sat in a commercial airliner and wondered "How hard can it be?"

Our aerobatic trial lessons are intended for those looking for a more exciting experience. From the cockpit of our high performance CAP 10C aircraft, used by several aerobatic world champions, you will learn a variety of aerobatic manoeuvres, and be able to have a go yourself. On our longer flights, and if you're feeling up for it, the pilot will also be able to demonstrate more "competition" stunts, pushing the aircraft and you to the limit!

All of our flights are conducted by highly qualified instructors, and are preceded by a full briefing. The airfield has a café available, and guests are more than welcome to admire the views whilst the lesson takes place.

All lessons come in the form of a gift voucher, which can be either emailed or posted to you. Vouchers are valid for a period of 6 months from purchase.
